General Submission Guidelines
Farm And Market Trail invites submissions (listings) from roadside stands, hobby farms, markets and fairs. We also invite articles that are focused in this genre.
Listings are limited to Canada and the USA for the time being.
Articles can be from anywhere in the world, but all submissions must be in English for the time being.
Farm And Market Trail retains the right at its sole discretion to reject submissions.
We encourage you to submit photos or illustrations with your submissions. Please be sure they are original works, Creative Commons, or that you have written permission from the artist to use the works.
If it is an article you are submitting, please provide the copyright details to us, including a link to the source, as we will be providing credits for everything we publish. We reserve the right to use different images.
Respect for Human Rights
We do not accept submissions that contain adult content, and/or content that is overtly commercial, racist, sexist or slanderous. We retain the right to reject content that contains language we consider abusive.
Plagiarism is never OK. Except for properly referenced quotations, all writing must be in your own words.
By submitting any listings to Farm And Market Trail, you warrant that you are in fact authorized to do so.
Editing, Spelling & Grammar
For listings, we do not provide copy editing. Please edit your work and proofread it carefully before submitting. Of course, you will be able to log in and edit them if you have made a mistake!
Submissions which do not read well or are full of errors will not be accepted.
Please contact us if you have any questions at all.
After Your Listing or Article Is Published
On publication, your work will be promoted through our social media channels. It will also be syndicated through our RSS feed and included in our weekly digest email to all of our subscribers.
Promote Your Post!
To maximize the exposure of your listing or article, if you use any social media services, it’s a great idea for you to spend a few minutes promoting it.
If you maintain your own e-mail distribution list, be sure to include it there also.
If you have your own blog, remember to tease it there as well.
Be sure to engage your readers. Doing so will increase your page views and lead to more readers. The easiest way to do this is to subscribe to the comment feed using the “You can also subscribe without commenting” link at the bottom of the comment area.
Thanks and cheers,
Your Farm And Market Trail Team
